Shavuos Tips


The equation for weight loss and weight gain is quite simple:

Calories in vs. Calories out


However, on Shabbos and Yom Tov we have a backward equation:

We eat a lot and don’t move.


Therefore:

- Get out in the afternoon and move!


- Exercise before and after Yom Tov.


- 2 water bottles per day is mandatory


- Keep your portions smaller than usual.


- Eat a lot of vegetables (salads with dressing are not free!)


- Determine a goal before Shavuos – write down your commitments and prep!!

Nothing tastes as good as achieving your goals; That is true happiness and accomplishment.

- Budget your calories!!!


- Be an educated consumer and don’t eat anything that you can’t estimate a calorie count on. Because....


- Most of all: remember you have a weigh in at One on One Health right after Yom Tov!
